House rules

I think I have about 34 house rules from bathing/smell to rule of cool.
Deodorant – use it.
Hard liquor – no. This leads to bad decisions.
Metal dice – no. This mars my table finish.
Act heroic – alignment = good, neutral.
Minis – use them.
Maps – draw them.
Loot – split it.
Levels – everyone at the same time. If PC X missed a session, they hold the party back from leveling until they catch up.
Leveling – only during a serious down-time, not a long rest. Usually this means in town for weapon repair.
Missing party members – were staying with the horses.
Shopping trips – submit a list. No acting out ‘scenes’.
If it sounds cool – I’ll let you try it. A spin attack? Okay, roll.
Double actions – within reason.
Funny voices – I suck, so no.
Sexual encounters – this is PG, not R. I won’t describe it.
Zero/negative HP – zero means death’s door. Roll v CON each round to survive each moment. Negative is just DOA.
Spell components – use them. Arrows – count them.
Encumbrance – applies.
Horse/cart – assumes a henchman/caretaker.
Paladins – straight play. No Forcing others. No oath-breaking.
Party theft/attacks – No PC v PC.
I could go on forever.
