Majoring in Communications – or as I call it Ethics Schmethics

I read somewhere that the “School Of Journalism” was replaced by this vague thing – Communications. I realized, after some time had passed, that they were no longer teaching “the Quest For Truth” or “Justice”
or this idea that seemed ‘new’ to them called ethics. Ethics schmethics. Communications was partially due to one focus of academia being the advancement of ‘progress’ (toward Socialism) and the notion that the POTUS at the time was considered to have said nothing, but in such a style as to seem to mean whatever the hearer wanted to hear. He was like a Svengali as far as they could see and the curricula reflected that to such an extent that the course on “Ethics In Media” was a complete horror of irony.
